Jiroemon Kimura(木村 次郎右衛門 Kimura Jirōemon, born as Miyake Knijoro on 19 April 1897) is a Japanese supercentenarian who is currently the oldest verified person living and also the oldest verified man in the history ever.He is also the last verified person to be born in the year 1897 after Koto Okubo's death and the second oldest Japanese in the history.He became the oldest man ever on 28th December 2012,beating Christian Mortensen's record of 115 years and 252 days He outlived his wife,his siblings, two of his children including his eldest son and also suprisingly one grandson.He is the first man and the 9th person to reach 116.
